The independent wiki project Veritapedia has unexpectedly ceased operations, citing financial difficulties and escalating maintenance costs. Launched in December 2029 by tech visionaries Norton Gervase and Nyx Blackwood, the platform had become a beacon of unbiased information about Welloterra and Ereya, attracting millions of users worldwide.
Over its 14-year run, Veritapedia served as a platform for whistleblowers to expose corruption and criminal activities. It also hosted exclusive interviews with high-profile figures such as Ereyan terrorist Mikhail Kovac in 2030. However, the ongoing conflict with Ereya and Achiox Sangwin appears to have exacerbated the project's financial woes. Last week, a key data center housing Veritapedia servers was reportedly targeted by an Achiox Sangwin strike.
"While we're still verifying the details of what happened," said Gervase in a statement issued earlier today, "the recent attack on our data center has significantly impacted our ability to maintain operations. We presume that we have lost around 10% of our data. Our backup servers were also hit by this attack."
Industry analysts are speculating that Veritapedia's extensive investigative journalism and commitment to unbiased reporting may have made it a target. The platform had been vocal about alleged war crimes committed by both Welloterran and Ereyan forces. Nyx Blackwood, co-founder of Veritapedia, was unavailable for comment at the time of publishing this article.
