In a conversation with Daily Pulse News, the revolutionary President of Celas, Lazar Abadzhiev Minkov, discussed his ambitious plans to transform the nation following years of corruption and international isolation under the previous government. Minkov, who played a decisive role in the 2028 revolution that ousted the controversial Radoslav Vanchev regime, emphasized his commitment to accountability and transparency in governance.
"Right now, our common goal is to rebuild trust both domestically and internationally," Minkov told Daily Pulse News during an exclusive interview held at his official residence. He acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in Celas' potential for growth and rehabilitation. "We most definitely have a lot of work to do, but we are resilient, and I believe that together we can overcome any obstacle."
Addressing concerns over past human rights abuses committed under Vanchev's rule, Minkov pledged to establish an internal commission to investigate these crimes and ensure justice for victims. He also outlined plans to strengthen Celas' democratic institutions, including the creation of a new anti-corruption agency and the establishment of a clear division of powers between executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
Minkov further discussed his vision for Celas' foreign policy, stating that he intends to prioritize diplomatic dialogue with neighboring countries and international partners. He expressed enthusiasm for cooperation on regional issues such as economic development, environmental conservation, and renewable energy projects.
