The Republic of Erkez has announced the lifting of its martial law, following a one-year declaration aimed at apprehending interdimensional terrorist Seth Royce. Despite this, authorities stress that the search for Royce still remains their top priority.
The government acknowledged that while the threat posed by Royce persists, the strict measures implemented during martial law had begun to strain Erkez's economy and civil liberties. "We must balance security with the rights of our citizens," said a government representative in a televised address. "But let me be clear: we will not rest until Seth Royce is brought to justice. We believe that Royce is still in Unios, quite possibly in our country."
The Bureau of International Defense (BID) reports that over 8,500 tips have been received since Royce's escape on February 1, 2030. However, none have led to his capture. The BID urges the public to remain vigilant and encourages anyone with information to contact them or the Erkezan government immediately.
