The Republic of Erkez announced nationwide martial law earlier today, just thirteen days after the escape of a highly dangerous interdimensional terrorist Seth Royce. Royce, wanted for multiple acts of terrorism on Ereya and Welloterra, escaped from high-security custody on February 1st, sparking an immediate manhunt. Authorities have offered a substantial reward for information leading to his capture, but so far, there has been no credible lead. The Bureau of International Defense suggests that he might still be on Unios.
Military personnel have already been deployed across the country to assist local law enforcement, bolstering checkpoints and conducting intensive searches. While many support the government's actions, some critics argue that martial law infringes on civil liberties and fear it could lead to an increase in human rights violations.
