King of Berhtania assassinated
King Anton Pavlovsky of the Republic of Berhtania was assassinated this morning when a sniper shot him in his office.

King Anton Pavlovsky of the Republic of Berhtania was assassinated this morning in a brazen attack on his office. According to initial reports from authorities, a sniper positioned on a nearby building fired upon the king while he was at his desk. King Pavlovsky was shot in the head and right shoulder, succumbing to his injuries immediately.
Security forces swiftly responded to the scene, apprehending the suspect within minutes of the attack. The individual's identity has not yet been released, but police are treating the incident as a terrorist act. The motive behind the assassination remains unclear. A full investigation is underway.
Flags across the republic have been lowered to half-mast as the nation mourns its leader. Other Ereyan leaders have also expressed their condolences and condemned the attack.
