In an effort to prevent a possible rise in unregulated private militaries, similar to the IOD and former Earthian independent militarized factions, the International Treaty of Ensuring World Integrity (ITREWN) is planning on developing a new convention, the International Code of Conduct for PMOs (ICCPMO).

"This convention is essential to ensuring peace and security," stated General Secretary Jones Ferran during a press conference today. "We've seen what can happen when private militaries operate without oversight, and we are determined to prevent similar situations on Welloterra."

The proposed convention will implement several measures, which include:

  • Limits on PMC employment: Organizations will be restricted in the number of private military contractors they can employ.
  • Controlled weapons market: A regulated system will be established for the buying and selling of weapons to private military organizations, aiming to prevent proliferation and illicit arms trafficking.
  • Stricter accountability: Stricter regulations and reporting requirements will be implemented to ensure greater transparency and accountability within the private military sector.

The ITREWN aims to have the convention ratified by member states before November 20, 2030, with full implementation expected shortly thereafter.
