Former Northway Faction leader fatally shot in his apartment

Former Northway Faction leader Nikolai Volkov was fatally shot this afternoon inside his apartment in Faderveil. Volkov, who had been living under the assumed identity of Nikita Dimitrov, was reportedly ambushed by an unidentified gunman hired by the High Tribunal, according to Asterac Republic.
Details surrounding the incident are still emerging, but initial reports suggest that Volkov resisted the attack, exchanging gunfire with the assailant before succumbing to his injuries. The gunman managed to escape the scene before police arrived. Authorities have launched a full-scale manhunt for the perpetrator, combing through surveillance footage and interviewing potential witnesses in hopes of identifying the individual responsible.
